Independence, socialization and expanded learning is emphasized in the Preschool Class:

Lana  ~ I was born in Belarus and am fluent in Russian language. My family moved to the United States when I was four years old. I recently graduated from Mt Hood Community College with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have done a lot of volunteer work with preschool and elementary age children. In my free time I sing in a choir, play in a band and enjoy the outdoors. Working with young children is my passion and I am very excited to be a teacher at St Clare. I look forward to providing a warm and loving atmosphere for all children. These children are our future and deserve the most care, love and guidance.

Pat ~ I have been with St. Clare Preschool since 1998 and have taught at length in each of the five classrooms within the Preschool (7 of those years have been with the 3-4 year olds). I hold a Childhood Development Associates which I earned while working at St Clare Preschool. Prior to that, I worked with several high-tech companies as an export technician, credit manager and executive assistant.  I like to think of myself as a puppeteer and a storyteller. I enjoy providing a nurturing and creative enviroment for the "little ones, " I have such pleasure seeing their faces light up when they have mastered a task which was once too difficult.
